Il fotografo degli alberi
More and more people today know me as the Tree photographer, my great passion.
In fact, I’ve always loved trees. I try to convey their poetry.
I don’t photograph just to show how beautiful they are, maybe in breathtaking landscapes. The basic idea of this life project is to give trees something more than a simple, beautiful composition: a part of me as I have known and lived them.
I would like to share photos of trees with those who love nature and want to discover it through my shots
I wish everyone to feel the serenity and positive energy that I felt embracing these wonderful creatures
Born on March 21, 1961, curiously the first day of spring and World Day for Forests; lives and works in Ferrara as a visual artist and freelance photographer.
Son of art, his mother Carolina Marisa Occari was a painter and engraver of stature, she lived with the universe of art since childhood. He played for a while with brushes and canvases until in 2000 he arrived at the optical medium (analog first and then digital).
He is member of FIAF (Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche) and FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique) since 2009. Member of the FotoClub Ferrara of which he was Vice President and teacher from 2015 to 2022. He has successfully participated in national and international competitions obtaining numerous awards and admissions in addition to the AFIAP (Artiste FIAP) honors in 2014 and EFIAP (Excellence FIAP) in 2016.
Initially attracted by travel photography, he now enthusiastically dedicates himself to a more introspective and conceptual exploration in which he can express all his creativity. Especially on the theme of trees, his great passion.
He has exhibited in various personal and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, some of which are shown at the bottom of the page.
His fine art prints of the series “HUGS. The Tree Calling” are now present in private collections in Italy, France, Spain, Holland, England and Eastern Europe. Several of his photos have been published in contemporary art and photography catalogs as well as in important magazines in the sector.
